You’ve invested in an overlocker and now it’s time to master it.
Most people only ever use their overlocker to finish seams, but this incredible machine can do so much more. If you’ve been too nervous to touch the dials, worried about re-threading, or unsure how to get the best results on different fabrics, this class will change everything.
In this hands-on 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to confidently adjust, troubleshoot, and use your overlocker to create a truly professional finish inside and out.
What you’ll learn:
How to change threads without fully re-threading your overlocker
Understanding and adjusting tension dials for perfect stitches on any fabric
How to gather fabric on your overlocker
How to convert your overlocker to sew with or without the blade
How to create a faux hem for sleeves and T-shirts saving time and avoiding extra steps on your sewing machine
Exploring new stitch styles and experiment with 3 and 4 threads and other creative uses beyond finishing seams
You’ll have time to practise on scrap jersey fabrics, then apply your new skills to a project you bring along to class to start/complete.

Scrap jersey fabrics for practising techniques
For confident sewers only:
This class is ideal for mums who already sew, have completed several projects, and want to take their skills further. Perfect for Members Club mums or those who’ve completed previous This Mummy Sews classes and courses.
You must have tyour own overlocker to attend this class.
