Handmade Loop – Seller Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions outline the process, policies, and responsibilities for customers ("You") who send handmade children's clothing to Handmade Loop ("We/Us") as part of our Loop for Credit or Loop for Cash resale systems. By sending items to us, you agree to the following terms:

 

1. Eligibility to Participate

  • You must be at least 18 years old and the legal owner of the garments you send in.
     

  • You must provide accurate contact information, including a valid email address. For Loop for Cash, you must also provide a valid PayPal email.
     

  • Handmade Loop reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone who breaches these terms.
     

 

2. Item Requirements

  • All items must be clean, freshly washed, and in resellable condition unless otherwise stated.
     

  • All garments must have a clear brand label identifying the handmade maker. Items without a brand label will not be accepted.
     

  • Items should have a size label. If missing, you must clearly note the size of each garment.
     

  • Items must be constructed using an overlocker to seal raw edges. Garments with raw seams will be rejected.

  • We do not accept any items made from licensed, character, or branded prints (e.g. Disney, Marvel, Peppa Pig, etc.) due to copyright restrictions. Any such items sent to us will be automatically rejected and handled according to our standard rejection policy.
     

  • We reserve the right to reject items that do not meet our quality standards or fall outside our accepted criteria.
     

 

 

3. Acceptance & Rejection Process

  • We aim to notify you within 7 working days of receiving your parcel to confirm its safe arrival and that your items are being reviewed.
     

  • Items will be inspected and either accepted or rejected based on construction, condition, and quality.
     

  • You will be notified of any rejected items via email once your items have been inspected and sorted, before any accepted items are listed on the website. This can take up to 4 weeks from the date your parcel is received.
     

  • You have 7 days from notification to request return of rejected items. You will be invoiced for postage, and the items will be returned once payment is received.
     

  • Any unclaimed rejected items may be added to our playwear collection at a reduced price or repurposed where possible (e.g. a stained romper might be reworked into a tee). We strongly advise not to send items that are heavily stained or marked, as these will most likely be rejected. Small marks or garments in need of minor repair will be accepted.
     

 

4. Loop for Credit

  • Accepted items will be assessed for quality (Gold, Silver, Bronze tiers – [View Loop Tier Table]) and condition (New, Excellent, Good, Used, Playwear – [View Condition Table]).
     

  • Based on these two factors, a credit value will be calculated using our internal pricing structure ([View Loop for Credit Value Table]).
     

  • You will receive a unique credit code by email, valid for use on our website with no expiry date.
     

  • Credit codes can be used in full or in part across multiple orders. Remaining balances can be checked by emailing us.
     

  • Credit values are non-negotiable and non-exchangeable for cash.
     

 

5. Loop for Cash

  • Accepted items will be inspected, prepared, and listed for resale by Handmade Loop.
     

  • You will receive 50% of the final sale price (including any applicable discounts or promotions).
     

  • Items are typically listed within 4 weeks of arrival and go live as part of our monthly drop on the first Sunday of the month.
     

  • Parcels received after the 20th of the month will skip that month's drop and be listed in the following drop.
     

    • Example: If your parcel arrives on 25th September, your items will be listed in the November drop, not October.
       

  • Sales are not guaranteed. Items may take time to sell or may remain unsold.
     

  • Payments are made via PayPal on the last Friday of each calendar month for all items sold that month.
     

  • It is your responsibility to provide the correct PayPal email address. Handmade Loop is not liable for payments sent to incorrect or inactive accounts.
     

 

6. Disputes & Queries

  • If you have a question or concern about a credit amount, payment, or rejected item, please contact us at [Insert Contact Email] within 7 days of receiving your credit/payment email.
     

  • All pricing decisions are made in good faith based on our transparent grading system ([View Pricing Tables]) and are final.
     

 

7. Liability

  • Handmade Loop is not liable for any lost or damaged parcels during transit to our HQ. We recommend using a tracked or signed-for service.
     

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by postal disruptions, technical issues, or other unexpected circumstances beyond our control (e.g. strikes, severe weather, system outages).
     

  • We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Updated terms will be published on our website.
     

 

By participating in Loop for Credit or Loop for Cash, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
